As from June 28 2025, Sweden will include the European Accessibility Act that covers certain products and services within the commercial sector. Meaning that all businesses running an e-commerce site, consumer banking and services for streaming amongst other touchpoints will need to apply to these guidelines.
As a result, Nordic Morning is charting a path for the future of digital accessibility, as it is up to all of us to help make sure we are aware and taking the right steps to create accessible experiences. We need to include the importance of educating and building awareness around accessibility and inclusion, and apply the necessary steps into the earliest stages of the development cycle and user experience.
This is not just another GDPR directive as building for inclusion is better for business, better for brands and most of all better for people.
