Colin Brown is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and built companies in 17 countries, the most recent being in Finland!
Colin started his career as a professional sports coach (Rowing), building high-performing teams to help them achieve their long-term goals, mainly podiums and Olympic medals!
From elite sport, Colin went to the other end of the spectrum, managing infrastructure and innovation projects across 9 million London residents, trying to use big data to improve customer experience and deliver a substantial legacy from the London 2012 Games.
From Government, Colin dived into his first start-up experience with a Singapore-based Edtech that rolled out literacy and numeracy solutions to eighty thousand schools and millions of children.
Post-start-up, Colin spent time in Private Equity and Venture firms before coming full circle and returning to his roots, coaching high-performing teams to achieve excellent outcomes.
Colin’s style of “coaching” owes much more to his background in performance sports, the complexity of government and what small teams can achieve to roll out multiple products across many countries.
Colin moved to Helsinki in 2022 and is a proud graduate of the 90-Day Finn programme (link) He is on his way to being 90% Finn (he already has a summer cottage).
Colin will be working with Epicenter companies and clusters in Finland to help support and grow the next generation of Finnish businesses going from good to great!
